What types of advertising are you currently doing, and what types of advertising have been most successful for you in the past?

We advertise on the city of Watauga signs, social posts on our pages, Lonestar Dad’s Group, Yelp, Google, Nextdoor. We even have a YouTube page with over 5,000 followers! We are currently advertising with Stroll The Resort, a community magazine based out of Fort Worth as well.

Tell us about your employees.

We have a total of 16 total employees. This includes our lead technicians, apprentices, and office staff. Tammy is our longest office employee (11 years), and Skyler is our longest lead technician, he started working here at the age of 18, and only left us once to go fly helicopters in Hawaii!

What is the story behind your business?

ABC Plumbing is a family-owned and operated service company specializing in residential plumbing, light commercial work, and remodels. Founded by my father in 1991, the business began with simple door-to-door advertising in our neighborhood and grew steadily thanks to his friendly personality and commitment to quality service. In 2004, after earning my Master Plumber’s license in the state of Texas, I had the opportunity to purchase the company as my parents relocated to the Texas Gulf Coast. With big goals and a passion for the trade, I dove in headfirst. Over the years, through growth, challenges, and change, ABC Plumbing has become a trusted name in the community — known for delivering reliable, honest service to a loyal and growing customer base.

One of our most cherished customer relationships was with Mrs. Carmen Rios, who was with us from the very beginning. She was truly a joy to serve — kind, thoughtful, and always full of warmth. Mrs. Rios lived to be 99 years old, and it meant the world to us that she not only trusted our work but genuinely enjoyed having our technicians around. After her passing, her family reached out to let us know just how much she appreciated ABC Plumbing over the years. We were honored to be part of her life, and she will always hold a special place in our hearts.

What extra services do you offer that people might not know about?

We get frequent calls asking if we work on and/or install gas lines and fixtures. The answer is yes! For any job pertaining to gas, we can help! We also offer hydro-jetting services for those extra stubborn blockages that can’t be cleared with a basic sewer machine.
